A reminder that the Book Fair will begin today in the school library. Classes have assigned times to visit so check with your teacher! It is a great time to buy Christmas gifts and a little something for yourself!  Don’t forget to bring your money!
Grade 5 mini boys basketball tryouts are today at 12:10 in the gym. Grade 6 boys will be on Tuesday.
Just a reminder that Mini-girls tryouts will take place Monday at lunch hour. Please remember to bring a bagged lunch that day. Thanks!
Premier girls’ basketball tryouts will resume Monday after school from 3:30-5:00. Final cuts will be made after this try-out. Thanks! District girls tryouts will continue after Premiers are done.

Book Fair – Just a reminder that the book fair begins tomorrow!  Regular Library Classes will not be running so please check your schedule to see when your class will be attending.
Grade 6 boys mini basketball try outs are today at 12:10 in the gym.
Grade 5 boys you will have another tryout tomorrow, Friday, at 12:10 in the gym.
Junior high boys basketball tryouts continue today at 3:30.

Report cards will go home today – Students will be called back to their homerooms at 3pm.

The final class for this term’s Outdoor Ed option is tomorrow. Students are asked to bring appropriate clothes for outdoor activities. You will be going outside, even if it is COLD, so don’t forget to bring your toque, mitts, jacket, snow pants, boots or whatever else you need to stay warm.

Guitar club will take place this Friday after school.
A HUGE congratulations goes out to the Premiere Boys’ Volleyball team who took home the gold medal (and banner) last night during playoffs! Please meet in the gym at noon for pictures and to sign the banner. (bring your jersey) There will also be a quick but important meeting for the team in Ms. Fedor’s room right after, please don’t forget!

The Grade 4 or 5 students that have a speaking part in the Christmas play are reminded of their practice coming up tomorrow morning at 7:45 am in the music room. Please come in the front door and head straight to the music room for this practice.
A SECOND HUGE congratulations goes out to the Premier Girls Volleyball Team who took home the gold medal (AND BANNER) against Leduc Jr.High last night. They played some amazing games and had an awesome season. There will be a quick meeting in the gym at lunch for some pictures.

A huge congratulations to the District Girls volleyball team. They brought home the bronze medal from Wetaskiwin. We are all so proud of you and you represented J.E. in true Sabre style. Way to go girls!

Basketball season is almost upon us!  Junior high tryouts begin next week so please see the posters around the school or Mr. Slade and Miss Haylett.

Christmas Elves boxes will arrive this week. J.E. Lapointe has been asked to focus on personal hygiene products such as deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste as well as non perishable food items.
All Jr. High boys PE classes are at the arena this week.  Please meet in the gym before going.

Today is the last day to sign for mini-basketball.  Try-outs will begin next week.

The Premiere Boys’ Volleyball team has their playoff games here at the school tomorrow night! The boys play at 5pm and 6pm so come out and cheer on your home team!!

Thank to the premier boys volleyball team who donated their time last night to volunteer to cook a meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton. 
Any soapstone students who would like to work on their projects at lunch can come to Mrs. Duru’s room at 12:30. 
Movember – In support of Prostate Cancer research and our male staff the female staff have donned “mustaches” for the day. Any donations can be made to Mr. Maltais. Thank you!
