Enrichment project DIY forms need to be turned into Mrs. Dorash asap.  Reminder, grade 8 group 1 and grade 6 group 1 will be starting Monday.  Check rm 119 if you are not sure what group you are in.

The premier basketball teams are hosting the Dansereau Ducks after school so come out and cheer on the Sabres.

 If you are available to score keep, please see Mr. Slade.  Would the premier boys please see Mr. Slade at first break for a super quick meeting.

A reminder to all grade 7-8 girls that there will be badminton try-outs tomorrow morning at 7:15 am.

Girls’ 7B and 7C - Reminder, we are at the rink this week.

Reminder about not throwing snowballs.

Badminton try-outs begin this week! Try-outs for grade 6,7,8 boys are on Tuesday and Thursday morning starting at 7:15am. Try-outs for grade 6,7,8 girls will be on Wednesday and Friday morning at 7:15am.  If you are unable to attend, but would still like to try-out, please let Mr. Mistol know.

Come out and support the Premier Boys and Girls basketball teams as they battle Queen E from Wetaskiwin tonight!

Science Olympians - it was a good night!  If you want to keep working today after school, see Mr. Slade today.  We will all meet tomorrow after school and the ski trip to try and finish things up!

The 2015 Google Science Fair is now open. This annual event asks thirteen to eighteen year old students to carry out a test or experiment on a subject they’re passionate about, and submit their projects online. This year submissions will be accepted in fourteen languages from students all over the world. If this interests you, see Mr. Slade or simply search it online.

Congratulations to all of the elementary athletes who participated in the Running Room Indoor Games yesterday at the Butterdome.  Fantastic races!  Results are in.  One of our boys’ teams will be advancing to the quarter-finals!  The other boys’ team and the girls’ teams were just short of making the quarter-finals.  They were just off by 3 seconds!

Jasper Ski Trip Participants - please be in the front parking lot no later than 4:15 am. The bus will leave at 4:30am sharp. Please make sure to bring all of your gear, appropriate clothes, and money.

Money for badminton rackets need to be in to Mr. Mistol by tomorrow.

The sign up sheet for badminton try-outs are now on the athletic board.  Any grade 6, 7 or 8 boys and girls interested in trying out for the badminton team need to sign up!  Try-outs will begin later this week, listen to announcements for exact dates and times.

Just a reminder that Family Day Unplugged is this Monday.  It is your day to Disconnect to Connect.  Spend time off of your technology to be active with family and friends.  On Tuesday, we will be having each student log their hours spent doing other activities other than using technology.

March 14 is Pi Day.  How many digits of pi do you know?  There will be a school wide competition to see how many decimal places of pi can be remembered.  The winner will get a sweet prize so start your memorizing now!

Includes backpack, homework, etc. Get dressed in your ski clothing and pick up your equipment from the library conference room. Please take it out to Mrs. Nichols truck. You are to stay in the front foyer by the trophy case until the bus comes.  Mrs. Nessel will meet you in the front foyer if you have questions.

The Edmonton Symphony orchestra field trip is this morning for all the grade 6 students that returned their forms. Once the buses arrive at 9am, the students will be called to the front foyer by class. Please only bring a jacket - no lunch or technology. Teachers are reminded to allow students to eat their morning snack during period 1.

Congrats to the premier girls basketball team for a great tournament this past weekend.  The girls only lost one game and handily defeated their opponents in the B final.  Great work!  We are going to have a team lunch in rm 119 on Tuesday and then practice afterschool.

Congrats to Premier boys for also winning the B event in their tournament in Sherwood Park this weekend.  Despite a shortened roster the boys played very well.  Great work!

Mr. Mistol’s 7BC boys PE will be at the arena today.
