The Junior & Senior boys’ volleyball teams will practice today after school.

There will be an information meeting for anyone interested in joining SWAT (student wellness action team) Thursday, during the lunch recess in room 122

Today is the last day for all volleyball players to purchase athletic hoodies on Powerschool

Tomorrow is the deadline for all junior development players to purchase their team t-shirts on Powerschool.

Flex - DEBATE : Please bring paper and pen or pencil to class.

Junior Jazz band will start tomorrow morning at 7:30am. Mrs. Baron will be at the school by 7 if you need to be dropped off early.

The band room is open on Friday for band practice or anyone needing help with their instrument

If any grade 7 students have their Camp Evergreen permission forms, please bring them to Mrs. Baron in the music room right now please.

Students interested in the Discover Scuba program are asked to see Mrs. Baron today at 12:14 for an official permission form and letter to go home. Even if you have given payment to Mrs. Baron, you are still asked to see her for the form and letter.

Milk Monday is back starting next week, so if you would like to buy a white or chocolate milk, bring $2.00 for a large and $1.00 for a small. The milk will be sold by the music room. Mrs. Baron will be needing some students to help sell the milk, so please see her if you want to help and are in the Grade 8 or 9 band.

Run for the Cure participants.  Our last meeting before the run will be tomorrow at 12:34.  That is tomorrow!  Tomorrow!  Do no miss it and please get your forms into Mr. Slade ASAP!!!!

Congratulations to the JR Girls volleyball team who won 4 out of 5 games last night against Dansereau.

And JR  girls have a practice today after school today.

Any students wishing to find out more about SWAT (student wellness action team) are invited to meet on Thursday in room 122 during the lunch recess.

Choir practices start today. Anyone who signed up or would like to join is invited to come to the music room at 12:14 with your lunch.

Senior Jazz will start tomorrow at 7:30. Junior Jazz  will start Thursday at 7:30. Mrs. Baron will be at the school by 7am on both days if any students need to be dropped off early.

Grade 7 band members are reminded to hand in their Camp Evergreen forms. They can be dropped off today at lunch or after school.

Thanks to Mrs. Baron’s grade 9 option class for doing the paper recycling and pop/juice container clean-up yesterday. This will be done on a weekly basis this year. There are a couple reminders for teachers and students regarding this;
Can teachers please make sure your class number is written on both containers with a sharpie? This will help students get the bins back to the correct class after emptying.
Can students please empty out their juice boxes or other drink containers before dropping them in the green bin? This will help with cleaning, as well as keep them from smelling so bad and attracting bugs!

Run for the Cure participants - the shirts are in!  Please see Mr. Slade at 12:34 to get yours.  If you have not seen Mr. Slade for your permission form, see him ASAP!

A reminder to all Sr. and Premier volleyball players that the last day to order an athletic hoodie is on Wednesday.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls’ volleyball team for a good start to the season. The girls played a strong back row and had excellent serves throughout all 5 sets! Don’t forget that there’s a team meeting in room 113 at LUNCH RECESS.

ALL students wanting to run next Tuesday in the LDAA cross-country race need to see M. Morin today!

The Senior boys’ will be heading to the high school to play their first league game today.  All players must meet Mr. Bohun and Mrs. Duru by the front doors after school.

The Premier Boys team has been posted on the athletic board.  If you All team members need to see Mrs. Duru and Mr. Bohun in the gym at 12:14pm for information and forms. Your first game is on Tuesday at Dansereau Meadows so its very important that you show up to this meeting.

Lists for our boys and girls volleyball development teams have also been posted!  Please meet in the gym during the first break for a brief meeting.  If you were at volleyball try-outs and your name is not on that list, please see Mr. Bohun or Mr. Mistol.

Any students interested in going scuba diving during FLEX time this year should see Mrs. Baron at this morning break.

Anyone interested in practicing or getting help with their instrument is invited to the band room on Friday over lunch.

Jazz band and choir practices will start next week.

Choir will be Tuesdays from 12:14 - 12:54. Anyone who signed up or is interested is asked to NOT eat in your homeroom, but bring your lunch to the music room on Tuesdays.

There is a Premier Boys’ volleyball tryout at 12:15 today.  Please see Mrs. Duru or Mr. Bohun, if you can’t make it.

There is a meeting today at 12:34 for any student who signed up before the deadline for the Run for the Cure.  This will be the only meeting this week so please attend!

Flex is ready!!! At 3:45 today you will be able to access the block 3, 4 and 5 surveys through our school website.  There is also a spreadsheet with session descriptions available.  We need all students to sign up prior to 8:30 tomorrow so lists are available for Wednesday.  If you are unable to sign up at home, the library will be available at 8:15 - 8:25 tomorrow morning.  Questions? please see Mrs. Dorash today.  If you are signing up for a session that is longer than 1 block you must sign up for that session in all of the appropriate blocks.

Any band members that have field trip forms are reminded to bring them to class or see Mrs. Baron during a break to hand them in.

Only two days left to sign up for the Run for the Cure team!

Important FLEX reminders - if you are signing up for a course that takes more than one block you must sign up for that session in each form.  Tie Dye for example you need to sign up for block 3, block 4 and block 5.  If you are not sure if the session you are choosing runs for more than one block check the session description spreadsheet on the school website.
Also, enter your name and homeroom carefully to make sure you get the selections you want.

Lost - A student’s lock for their locker went missing at the end of the day on Monday. If you know where it is, please return it to the office.
Found - a pair of prescription eyeglasses, come to the office to claim

Run for the Curers.  We are now 7 strong.  Make sure you sign up and have your funds in by Thursday.  See Mr. Slade for help if needed.

Grade 7 and 8 Boys, the last volleyball tryout will be running tomorrow after school.

Jazz band and choir sign up sheets will be available this week. Practices will start the first week of October.

Reminder to sewing students - Your money and order forms are due today if you are ordering from Classy Threads. Please talk to Mrs. Nessel if you want to order but forgot your form and money.

A reminder for all students to stay in your homeroom classes for the entire lunch break. There are many students out of their classrooms early and into their lockers. Also, when the bell does go, please head outside. There have been many students wandering the halls over the lunch hour. It is only 20 minutes of being outside, so please head out at the lunch bell. Homeroom teachers, be sure to help with this process.

Wednesday is our annual Terry Fox Run,  It will be followed by a Picnic in the Park - parents welcome! We encourage everyone to bring in a toonie for Terry.

Reminder to all sewing students in gr. 7 and gr. 8. If you are planning on ordering a Classy Threads sewing kit the money and forms must be in by Monday, Sept. 14.

All BHA students need to meet in the front foyer after period 2 with their equipment before heading to the arena.  Please hustle as you don’t have a lot of time to get dressed.

Instrument rental is tomorrow night at 6:30pm for anyone needing to rent an instrument for this school year.

There will also be a band trip meeting for Grade 8 & 9 Band parents tomorrow night starting at 7pm.
