Congrats to Nimrit Ghuman, the winner of our annual Pi Contest! She remembered 231 decimal places of pi! Nimrit can pick up her pizza pie and apple pie on Pizza Tuesday.

A reminder that the final grade 7 girls badminton try-outs are today after school. Some final team lists have been posted on the athletic board. All final lists will be posted by the end of tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone that tried out for badminton this season! We had just over 200 students try out this year. It’s great to see such participation and enthusiasm.

Congratulations to the Sr. Boys basketball team! We were able to defeat West Haven by a score of 73-34. The boys are now off to the semi-finals against Leduc Jr. High.
Due to Field Trips and a scheduled meeting, Pride Alliance is cancelled for today. We will meet next Friday.
Congrats to the Junior Girls basketball for the semi final game last night. They fought hard but in the end fell three baskets short… the girls are still in the medal hunt and will play for bronze on Tuesday. Great effort ladies!

We are excited to let everyone know that we have moved into our new office! Yay! Phase one of our modernization is now complete and things are also trucking along with our new gymnasium,
classrooms, and science labs. The next phase will include a beautiful new gathering place for students at the front of the school. How fortunate the JE Lapoine school community is!

Pi Day is approaching. Do you know more digits than Mr. Leeb? He has rememberd up to 3.1415. What about Mrs. Leeb? She can recall 89 decimal places. Or what about ex-student, She actually recalled pi to 255 decimal places. Practice up to win your pies on March 14.
