Grade 6 French Immersion students are writing their French Language Arts PAT part 1 this morning. Students have until 11:30 to complete their assessment. As such, we would like to remind you all to be quiet in the hallways, in particular during transitions, when going to your lockers or going out for recess. One group will be writing in the library, so it will be unavailable this morning. Junior high and elementary teachers, if you could remind your students to keep noise to a bare minimum, if at all, in the hallways, it would be greatly appreciated.  As well, teachers please ask your students to refrain from printing to the library for the morning so there are not people entering and exiting the library during these morning exams.  Thank you.

Today is Hat Day. Staff and students are wearing hats in support of Mental Health Awareness.

Elementary Boys High Jump practice at noon.  Girls’ practice will be Thursday at lunch.

Tomorrow there will be the first elementary Track and Field Practice at lunch.  If you have signed up or would still like to sign up, please come to the practice ready to run.  We will meet on the soccer field.

IF you are interested in participating in another track meet, the Hershey Track Meet is for you.  This meet is for any student between the age of 9 and 14 years old.  There are individual running events like the 100m, the 200m, the 400m, the 800m, and the 1600m depending on your age.  There is also running long jump and ball throw.  You also have a chance to qualify for the Provincials which are held in Edmonton in June.  If you are interested, please see Mme McCallion.  This Meet will be held in Leduc on May 28th.

As every Friday, students may notice that today staff may be dressing more casually than they do the rest of the week, or they may be wearing school clothing.  By “dressing down”, staff contributes money into a cup in the office which is donated to assist others who may not be as fortunate as we are.

Junior high field trip forms are due today.
