Monday, November 7, 2011 - Day 3

• Reminder to 7CD girls PE you are going skating at the BRAC on Tuesday. Remember your skates and helmet.

• Reminder to 7E girls PE you are going to be at the BRAC on Wednesday. Please remember to bring your skates and helmet. 

• 7AB girls Phys. Ed. – meet in the gym ready to go skating period 2.

• District Volleyball Boys, we have a game tomorrow Tuesday Nov. 8^th at Leduc Jr. High. Please ask your parent for transportation. There is a practice today from 12 to 12:50.

• Premier boys volleyball practice today afterschool.

• We are in need of at least 4 Jr. High scorekeepers for the Volleyball games tomorrow after school.  Please see Ms. Stewart or Mr. Mistol if you can help out.  (Howler T-shirts as payment for volunteers).

• There will be a combined choir practice today AND tomorrow for ALL choir members. This is an important practice for Remembrance Day, so please remember to come BOTH days.

• The Jazz band will practice on Thursday this week.

• Mrs. Baron needs to meet with all Remembrance Day speakers during period 1 today. Please come to the music room with your script right after the announcements.

• There will also be a practice for all speakers tomorrow during period 5 in the music room.

• A reminder for all staff and students that our school Remembrance Day ceremonies are this Wednesday. The elementary ceremony is going to be at 10:45 and the junior high at 1:30. 

• Teachers are also reminded that all choir members grades 4 – 7 and all junior high band members will be performing at both ceremonies.

• It’s National Ringette week and today is wear your jersey day!

• Poppies will be available for Wednesday’s Remembrance day ceremony, a small donation will be appreciated.

• Would Mr. Slades Phys. Ed class bring skates or shoes for the Brac tomorrow.

• Last chance for Home. Ec forms and money. Please hand in to Mrs. Nessel.

• A small silver bracelet was turned in to the office. Please claim.

 

All band members are reminded to hand in their October practice and theory by this Thursday please.

Friday, November 4, 2011 - Day 2

• Reminder to 7a and 7b girls PE you are going to be at the BRAC on Monday.  Please remember to bring your skates and helmet.  7C and 7D girls you will be going during class on Tuesday.

• Jazz band practice has been changed to TODAY from 12 – 12:30 for anyone who is able to come. We are in need of some tenor sax players, so come on out if you’re interested, even if you’re in grade 6!

• There will be two choir practices in preparation for next week's Remembrance Day Ceremony. They will be from 12:00-12:30 in the music room on Monday AND Tuesday for ALL members. Please make a note in your agenda so you remember to come!

• All band members are reminded to hand in their October Theory and Practice today please.

• Mrs. Baron needs to meet with the junior high students that volunteered to read at the Remembrance Day ceremony next week. Please go to the music room at 10:30 with a highlighter!!

• There will be a combined band practice for all junior high band members in the gym on Monday during periods 4 & 5, so please remember to have your instrument here!

• Premier Boys volleyball practice today at noon.

• Junior High SPARK program today in Room #105.

Thursday, November 3, 2011 - Day 1

• ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS; there is a choir practice TODAY for ALL GRADES -  4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
  
  
  This is an important practice so that we are ready for our Remembrance Day ceremony so please don’t forget !

• The school Remembrance Day ceremony here at the school will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 9^th. The elementary ceremony will take place at 10:30 and the junior high in the afternoon at 1:30. Teachers make note of the date change. Please also ask students to mark it in your agendas in case any parents want to attend.

• Band theory and practice sheets were due on Monday, but due to the busy Halloween schedule, they will be accepted until tomorrow. Please get yours signed and handed in by then.

• No Running Club practice today.  Practices will resume in January to prepare for the Edmonton Journal Games.

• Any Gr. 7 home ec. students that want to order sewing supplies, please hand in you order form and money by Friday.

• No chess club today. Chess will resume next Thursday.

• Photo retake orders are due Friday.

• Congratulations staff and students. We collected 239 pounds of food for the Foodbank!

• A huge congratulations to our District girls volley ball team.  They played in Devon last night and played FANSTASTICALLY WELL!  They played with true Sabers spirit and and should be congratulated for a job well done!   Your coaches are VERY proud of you!

Monday, October 31, 2011 - Day 4

• Reminder to all students that there are no classes Tuesday, November 1, as it is a PD Day. Early dismissal on Wednesday, November 2.

• District boys and girls volleyball practice cancelled today.

• Premier boys volleyball meeting at 12:00 in Mr. Helgren's office.

• Band practice and theory sheets are due today. Please turn in to Mrs. Baron.

Friday, October 28, 2011 - Day 3

• If any students missed the milk order deadline or were absent from school when the order forms were due, you can still buy milk for the rest of the year. Please return your forms and payment by November 1^st. If you have lost your form, please see Mrs. Baron for a new one.

• Reminder – yoga students, field trip forms are due today to Ms Stewart.

• District girls volleyball please go to the gym at 12:15pm to meet with the premier girls.

• Attention all gr.7 Home ec students. Please bring your order form and cheque to Mrs. Nessel by Oct.31 if you are purchasing sewing supplies.

• If you were the person who wore the wrong set of black shoes home from the front bootroom last night, please return them to the office immediately.

• Drama students: please come to class changed into your black costumes, ready when the bell to begin class goes.

• Premier boys volleyball practice today at noon.

• Grade 7 Mini-Blast workshop this afternoon. Topics include the Truth about Tobacco and Media Manipulation.

• All band students are reminded to get their theory and practice sheets signed by Monday, October 31^st.
