Congratulations to all of our JE Lapointe athletes on an amazing day yesterday!  Our cross-country team absolutely rocked it and represented our school with pride.  We had 6 amazing team results:

09 Boys - Gold

As well, our volleyball season also kicked off with both the Gr. 8 boys and girls winning their matches 5-0.

Would all volleyball players please be sure to ask their parents to complete the Student Transport form in PowerSchool as soon as possible.

We are missing approximately 50 2021-2022 Student Enrolment Verification forms, parents if you have not yet done so please complete in your Parent PowerSchool portal under it's own tab. These are due Sept. 30

Tuesday, September 28 Day 2

Students please check your emails to see if you have over-due books! If you would like to renew them come see Miss.LaPointe or drop them in the return bin if you no longer want them.

Did you know that prior to the arrival and settlement of European immigrants, Indigenous people had complex and successful knowledge systems and practices about land systems, sciences, mathematics, politics, physical and mental health, and food security that provided healthy and abundant livelihood for millions of peoples for tens of thousands of years.  We all had and continue to have so much to learn from our Indigenous peoples.

Monday, September 27 day 1

 Last year’s photography students - I have changed some photographs out so I have photographs that the gr 9’s took last year. If you would like the photograph that you took, please see Mrs. Buzak

Truth and Reconciliation Week: Learning activities throughout the week as well as a ceremony on Wednesday. Did you know that there are 1.4 million people of Indigenous ancestry in Canada, referring to 3 distinct cultural groups of original habitants. There are between 52 and 72 Indigenous languages in what is called Canada and these languages contribute to the rich culture of our country.

Very important cross country meeting for all runners during the morning break.  

-You will also be doing your last practice run at lunch today. (Except BHA and grade 7 girls volleyball players)

 Great job running this week, team! Please have your parents sign the permission form as soon as possible.  Cross-country meet is Tues Sept 28th.  The list of all participants is on the athletic board.   Please see M. Morin or Mr. Mistol if you have any questions. 

*All grade 7 volleyball boys need to run today.  If you did not make the volleyball team and would still like to run, please come as well.  Meet in the fitness room at 12:26pm.  Running is optional for all other cross country runners today.  

Begin running outside rather than in the hallways:)

Would all grade 7 boys volleyball team members please meet at the exercise room at first break for your first team meeting!
