  • All grade 6, 7 & 8 band members are reminded that tomorrow is the last day that September practice will be accepted. Please be sure to get yours signed and brought to class for marking.

  • Attention Grade 7 & 8 band members! There is a meeting tonight at 7 pm for your parents. Please remember to remind your parents.

  • We will be collecting food bank donations for the annual Halloween Food  Drive. Please bring non-perishable food or personal hygiene products to the donation box in the front foyer of the school.  Donations will be accepted until Thursday, October 31st. Please do not bring in any opened containers.
  • The music room is open for practice this week, but there is a change from yesterday’s announcement.
  • Today will be the only Choir practice this week due to Halloween activities on Thursday, so please make sure you attend today!

  • We will be collecting food bank donations for the annual Halloween Food Drive. Please bring non-perishable food or personal hygiene products to the donation box in the front foyer of the school.  Donations will be accepted until Thursday, October 31st.
  • The Premier Boys’ volleyball team has a practise immediately after school today.
  • The Home ec room will be open Monday and Wednesday, after school this week for students that want to complete their projects. The room is open every morning at 7:30 am for students that want to work.
  • All home ec projects, that were turned in, are now marked. Please come pick up your project.
  •  Mr. Slade is still in need of permission forms for his option A class.  They must be in by tomorrow!

  • Day 3  Band members are reminded to bring in their
    September practice sheets to be marked.  You now have less than one week to get this done, so please make sure your practice sheet is signed and brought to class by next Thursday.

  • Today is open practice for all instruments in the music room from 12:10 - 12:50.  Please come to this practice if you need help with your instrument or you want to get some extra practice in.

  • The Leadership and Wellness Team will be meeting at 12:10 today in the Home Ec room.  Please bring your lunch to the meeting.

  • Would students from Mr. Slade's Option A class who have NOT yet handed in your permission slips please do so ASAP!

  • Premier boys volleyball will not be practicing at 12:10 today due to the Positive Ticketing Assembly.

  • Any students in grades 6-8 who are interested in playing volleyball today can come to the gym at 12:10.

  • Day 1  Mr. Slade would like to thank Alex Dunning for his generous gift of a 4L jug of skim milk and a box of Shreddies.  Mr. Slade will not go hungry this week.

  • Congratulations to the district girls volleyball team for a solid night of volleyball, winning 4/6 sets.  Also, remember, there is a practice today at 12:10

  • Band members are reminded to hand in their September practise sheets for marking.  You only have one more week to do this so please bring to your next band class.

  • Congratulations to the premier girls volleyball team who won 7 out of their 9 games last night.  Way to finish strong girls!

  • Mr. Slade's Option A class are reminded to hand in their permission forms ASAP today.

  • Students are asked to not play with balls at the front of the school during recess and before and after school due to the danger of the balls going into the parking lot.

  • A Huge congratulations goes out to the Premier Boys' volleyball team for winning the halloween Howler Tournament this past weekend!  Remember there is a practice today after school at 3:30 PM.

  • Due to unforseen circumstances, the Home Ec room will be closed after school today.

  • Day 2

  •  Anyone interested in scorekeeping for this Saturday's tournament are asked to hand in their form to Mr. Mistol immediately following announcements.

  • Grade 6, 7 and 8 Band members are reminded to hand in their September practice sheets for marking 

  • Mrs. Verhoeff's grade 7 Media class is excited to announce that Sabres TV is coming soon!  Watch for first broadcast next week!

  • Youth Centre volunteers will be in the front hall today at lunch time selling tickets for their up and coming dance.

  • Premiers Boys had a strong showing at last night's games, winning 5 of their 9 sets.  Great job!  There will be a quick meeting in Miss Fedor's class at the 10 min break, please don't be late.

  • Music room noon hour practices this week are, today - choir and tomorrow - instrument practice for all grades.

  • All grade 6 Band members going to Camp Evergreen next week are asked to come to the music room at first recess today for a quick meeting.

  • Congrats to the District Boys vollyball team for a great outing at home last night.  The boys will keep up momentum going with a good practice today after school.

  • The final Music practice at lunch this week is: choir. Please remember to come to the music room at the 12:10 bell, as there were a few students missing on Tuesday. Please also remember to bring your purple permission form if you haven’t already done so.
  • Grade 6, 7 & 8 and members are reminded to bring their September practice sheets to class for marking.
  • Band members are also reminded of their Sultans of String field trip tomorrow. We will be leaving tomorrow at 11:45, so teachers are asked to allow the students attending this performance to eat their lunch towards the the end of period 4. Students are to remain in their period 5 class until they are called down.
  • Grade 5 Girls SPARK is cancelled for today.

  • The premier boys will have practice after school today.
  •  Congratulations to the JEL Sabres Run for the Cure team. Yesterday they walked and ran 5km to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. As of today, our total is over $1500!
  • Tomorrow the grade eight students are going on a field trip to the Telus World of Science. This is a reminder to all grade eight students to bring a lunch that does not require a microwave.
  • Reminder to all Home Ec students that are working on projects, the home ec room is closed today but will be open every morning at 7:30 am for anyone that wants to come in. The room will also be open on Wednesday and Friday afterschool.
  • Students that want to order classy Thread sewing kits are to get their money and forms into Mrs. Nessel by Wednesday so that they can be ordered before the weekend.

  • Early dismissal tomorrow at 2:30 pm.
  • The Home Ec room will be open until 4:15 Wednesday and Friday for any student that would like to come in and work on projects.The room will not be open this Wed. due to early dismissal.
  • Serving practice is at 12:10 for District volleyball teams.  Premier volleyball teams will be having a practice.
  • If you are not currently on a volleyball team, but would like to play volleyball this year, please see Mrs. Duru in the gym at 12:10.
  • School picture orders are due Thursday. If retakes are required, hold onto your proof form and bring to retake day on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
