Student Gathering - grade 9

Christmas Elves is looking for non-perishable food, new clothing, and new gifts for children.  If you are interested in donating, please bring items to your homeroom teacher and try to earn points towards a DQ ice cream cake.

The Comic Book Fair will be open from 930 -330 in the Learning Commons.

Footwear and boot rack - Thanks to many of you who are making the effort to place your footwear on the boot racks. All outdoor footwear needs to be removed before entering the gym, including morning and after school athletic practices. Outdoor footwear is to go on the boot racks by the portables.

It is Christmas Elves time and JE Lapointe is continuing it’s annual classroom competition to collect goods for those in need.  If you are able, bring in food, toiletries, or toys and add to your class point total.  The class with the most on Dec. 11 earns an ice cream cake.  Ask your homeroom teacher for details.

A huge congratulations goes out to the Senior ladies’ volleyball team. Finishing 1st in the league, top 3 in tournaments against top Edmonton schools and finally last night for the big win against Riverview for the gold and the banner! Excellent season girls! Congratulations to the District Girls for a very well played quarter final vs Queen Elizabeth last night.  Mrs Dorash is very proud of your work ethic and tremendous improvement over the season and the coaches can’t wait to see you on the court representing JEL next year. Remembrance Day celebration today at 2pm. Please remember that because this is a more solemn ceremony, everyone will enter the gym in silence, remain silent throughout the service, and exit in silence at the end.  We will be having several guests at our service. 

Our food drive is still going!  If you have not done so, please consider contributing some non-perishable food for those in need.  Teachers, please encourage your students in this school-wide initiative!  We will collect until the end of next week Thank you very much for everyone who has contributed.
