Grade 8 students: our annual trip to the Citadel to see A Christmas Carol is on Wed, Nov 30. Please remind your parents to go onto PowerSchool to sign the permission form and pay the field trip fee.

Attention Grade 8 & 9 Band students: There is a change in Construction 9 & Foods 8 for this week. These classes are only being offered during period 4 & 5 for the band students, so any band students in Construction 9 and Foods 8 are to go to the combined practice period 3 in the band room. Any students that want to be put in “the win your own steampunk thing’ draw should write their first and last name, and homeroom on a piece of paper provided to their homeroom teacher. On Monday, Oct 31, during the Halloween activities, a name from each grade and the staff will be picked and they are declared the winners.The prizes are: 2 top hats, a lightbulb spider and a steampunk’d bottle.  If your name is chosen, you will be able to pick one of these prizes from the table.

French Band practice after school today.

Grade 9’s if you have not handed in your immunization forms please be sure to do so NO LATER than tomorrow (Thursday).  All forms are to be returned even if you are not receiving the immunization.

The  Senior Boys’ volleyball team traveled to Leduc to play yesterday.  Congrats for playing hard in a  couple of tough, close games against LJH and Queen E school.  There will be a Senior boys’ volleyball practice today from 3:30-5:00pm.

Oil King’s game is tonight!! Puck drops at 7 o’clock. Students taking the bus, please be at school at 5:20 pm as the bus will be leaving school at 5:30 pm.

WATERPOLO!!!!!! It is very important if you are interested in attending next week, you need to have forms into Mrs Gabriel or Mrs. Dorash right after these announcements!  If we don’t enough interest it will be cancelled.

French Band first practice afterschool on Thursday

Teachers are noticing excessive dirt on the floors in their classrooms and in the gym from student shoes being worn outside. Please be reminded that you are expected to change shoes if the pair you wear to school or the pair you wear outside at lunch get dirty.

There will be a choir practice at lunch on Thursday for any interested students!

There will be an optional  volleyball practice for any students who are playing on a junior or senior volleyball team today at lunch.

A huge congratulations to the senior ladies’ volleyball team for their amazing playing at the Ardrossan tournament over the weekend. We proudly walked away with the silver medal in a hard fought final match. Excellent job girls!

Congratulations to the Run for the Cure participants who ran, walked, and crawled 5 km yesterday to raise money for breast cancer research.  In addition, thanks to Mrs. Ivanc, Mrs. Restau, and Mrs. Joinson for lending a helping hand.
