Senior Boys volleyball team meet Mrs. Duru at 10:02 in room 118.  We do not have enough rides for today’s game.  It’s important to come so we can figure out how you will get to and from our game today!

Home Ec students and anyone that would like to sew. - Mrs. Nessel will be placing a Classy Threads order next Wed. If you would like to order a project sewing kit for class or to sew during FLEX please see Mrs. Nessel for an order form.

Today is the last day to get your registration form and payment in to the office for tickets to Passe-moi la puck! Permission forms have been emailed out to your parents and need to be completed as soon as possible.

All volleyball players have until Sunday to purchase an athletic hoodie on Powerschool.  Please see Mr. Mistol for sizing.

The French Band is looking for a guitar player. If you are in French Immersion and play guitar, come join us! Go see Mme LaBrie at break, lunch, recess or afterschool to let her know if you are interested.

The team is set and the SabresSprinters will be raising money for breast cancer research in the CIBC Run for the Cure!  Would team members please meet in Mr. Slade’s room at 12:34 for a very quick meeting.

Last call for Science Olympians!  Turn out has been small up to now and we need more interest to go ahead with things.  If you love Science and competition come to an information meeting tomorrow at 12:34 in Mr. Slade’s room.

In respect for the Honourable Norman L. Kwong, former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, our flags will be at half-mast until after his public state memorial on September 13. Lieutenant Kwong was well respected and reverred as  the first Canadian of Asian heritage to play for the CFL, the youngest player to win a Grey Cup, as an active businessman, and as a Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

Reminder that Senior Ladies’ volleyball tryouts (for grade 8s and 9s) will be today after school and Tuesday after school at 3:15pm and Wednesday at lunch. If you have any questions please see Mme Stewart or Mrs. Kay.

There will be a grade 8 & 9 boys’ volleyball tryout in the gym today after school.

Please be reminded that all students are to remain in their homerooms with their teachers during the noon hour until the bell has rung.  Students are not to go into the hallway to put items in their locker until the bell rings. Once the bell rings, students are to go directly outside to enjoy some fresh air and exercise!

Fridays are Dress Down to Build Others Up at JEL.  This means that staff members are encouraged to dress more casually than on other days, and to donate money to assist those who may not be as fortunate as we are.
