Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - Day 3

  • The junior high band is hosting their final bake sale this Friday at lunch. All items will be sold for $1.00 and will be supporting the trip to Ottawa this May.

  • Jazz band practice today at 12:20.

  • There will be a very important music festival choir practice tomorrow for ALL members. Teachers are asked to excuse DAY 2 and DAY 4 choir members to the music room at 11:40 tomorrow.

  • Any students playing solos, duets, trios or quartets are reminded to come to their practice times with Mrs. Baron. The sign-up sheets are still up in the music room if you have forgotten your time and need to check.

  • All of your Math teachers would like to wish you a Happy Pi Day!  Do you know why this is pi day? 

  • Premier girls basketball players – there is an important meeting in rm 103 at 12:20 today and practice today afterschool at 3:20.

  • Congratulations to the atom AA Braves who defeated Stony Plain last night to win a bronze medal!

  • Jr. High girls badminton practice tomorrow at 7:15am.

  • Premier boys basketball practice today at 3:30.

  • Boys Badminton try-outs are tomorrow morning at 7:15am.

  • We are looking for Jr. High scorekeepers for this weekends mini basketball tournament.  If you are interested in helping out, please see Mr. Mistol.

  • There will be a Journal Games practice today at noon.

Monday, March 12, 2012 - Day 1

  • All district boys basketball players need to meet in the gym for a brief meeting right after these announcements.

  • Premier Boys and Girls basketball meeting at 12:20 in Mrs. Dorash’s room.

  • Good luck to our Mini boys and girls basketball teams tonight. The boys play here at J.E. and the girls will be playing at Coloniale.

  • Congratulations to Beaumont Ringette U12C and U14A girls.  Both teams were Zone 5 Champions and won silver medals in Provincials this weekend.

  • Study Buddies start up again today – Look for the PINK schedule on the wall.

  • It’s Sub Appreciation Week. A Special thank you goes out to all guest teachers.

  • Boys Badminton tryouts today at noon.

  • Day 2 and Day 4 Choir members have a music festival practice tomorrow at 12 noon.

Friday, March 9, 2012 - Day 5

  • Congratulations to the premier boys basketball team who qualified for the league finals last night with a win over Sacred Heart.  As well, a big thanks to Dylan Kent and Wyatt Villetard for scorekeeping  the game.

  • Congratulations to the Premier girls basketball team. They played against Coloniale and will play in the bronze medal match next Thursday.

  • Congratulations to District boys basketball team. They came up short against Holy Spirit, and will play for the bronze medal next Thursday.

  • Could all junior high students that are signed up as study buddies please see Mrs. Nessel today at noon.

  • All Gr. 8 home ec projects are marked . Please pick them up at noon.

  • Reminder to students that you are not to be going uptown for lunch unless you have written permission.

  • Outdoor Ed. gear will be stored in Room 105.

  • Reminder to Spring forward "Daylight Savings Time" occurs this Sunday at 2:00 am.

  • Dairy Queen hot lunch today.

  • Congratulations to Makarthy Bridges who has qualified for the Edmonton Journal Games Quarter Finals in the 800m race.  Well done!

  • Day 4 choir at noon today.

  • Premier boys basketball semi-final today at 4:00.  Come on and cheer the boys on!

  • Good luck to the District boys team, they are playing in the semi-finals at Holy Spirit!

  • Premier girls basketball team, please meet in the foyer at 3:20pm ready to go to Coloniale. Go Sabres!

  • There will be a basketball shooting practice today at 12:20pm for both the District and Premier teams.

  • Jr. High boys badminton try-outs tomorrow morning at 7:15am.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012 - Day 3

  • In preparation for the Leduc Music Festival coming up next month, students are asked to remember to come to their noon hour music practices this week.

    Today is Jazz Band @ 12:20
    Tomorrow is Day 4 Choir @ 12 noon

  • ATTENTION BAND MEMBERS: This is the final last call for your February theory and practice. These items need to be handed in TODAY as report card marks are due! Please hand them in to the BLUE BIN in the music room before leaving school TODAY!

  • Mrs. Baron needs to meet with ALL students playing solos, duets, trios and quartets at 1st recess TODAY. This is an important meeting to sign up for individual practices times, so PLEASE remember to come.

  • Elementary and Junior High Journal Games, please meet in Mme McCallion’s room at noon today for a very short meeting.  The meeting is about the Quarter-Finals that will be held on March 17th.  Participants must attend the meeting.

  • Congratulations to both the boys and girls mini basketball teams on games well played last night.

  • Reminder to parents that today is early dismissal - 2:30 pm.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - Day 2

  • District boys basketball practice tomorrow @ 7:15am!

  • Thanks to all of the students that participated in JE Lapointe’s Rabbit Hill Ski Club. The four evenings were a lot of fun with large numbers of students attending.

  • Once again the trip to Jasper’s Marmott Basin was a huge success. Special thanks to a fantastic group of students that once again made this a very enjoyable trip for everyone.
