If there are any grade 7 students interested in going to Coloniale to try out for long jump or triple jump next week during FLEX please see Mrs Dorash or Mr Mistol and do not sign up for FLEX next week for either block.

Pride Alliance GSA will be meeting tomorrow in Ms Gervais’ room at lunch. Everyone is most welcome to attend.

FLEX sign up for Friday: Grade 8’s block 1 or 2, grade 7’s block 3 or 4.  Reminder to grade 9’s you will not be signing up. 

Talent show auditions continue and finish up today. Anyone left to audition should meet in the gym at 12:26 with your lunch. Thanks to everyone who came out to auditions. The list of performers will be posted next week.

Active living students are reminded to hand in their gym waiver forms to Mrs. Baron by today if you are interested in going on the field trip next week. If you handed in your form already, please make sure your parent signs the online permission form on Powerschool.

Complementary Course selections were emailed home to parents, please complete by May 14.

Parents are asked to complete the 18/19 Student Enrollment Verification form in the parent Powerschool portal.

Talent Show auditions continue at 12:26 today in the gym for dancers and gymasts. Tomorrow is instrumental and any other acts.

Discus finals are today at lunch.  Please check the athletic board to see if you have qualified. 
If you are going to Coloniale to try-out for long and triple jump during Flex, please meet in the gym at the start of period 3.

Active Living students are reminded to hand in their waivers for personal training next week. There are only 4 spots left, so get your form in to Mrs. Baron ASAP! Please also be sure to tell your parents to sign the online permission form on Powerschool.

Fortnite!  Now that I have your attention, Mr. Slade really needs the grade nine farewell pictures as soon as possible.  If you do not submit, your school picture will be used in the slideshow.

The Lip Dub is one week away so get your costumes, props, and lip syncing ready!

Anyone that forgot to order a Classy Threads kit can come and see Mrs. Nessel today. LAST CHANCE!!!

Today is the last volleyball session for girls in grade 7-9 today after school until 4:30. See you there!!

Attention all badminton team members!  Pictures WILL take place tomorrow during the morning break...no matter what!  Bring your jersey.

Grade 9 Farewell pictures are still being accepted.  Please send to Mr. Slade as soon as possible.

We have met our top goal and raised $2092.70!

That means water for life for 83 people in India! Stay tuned for some new hair dos.

Attention Home ec students - A Classy Threads order will be placed TONIGHT so if you want to order and forgot,  you need to see Mrs. Nessel TODAY at break or at lunch. Jamie Fraser please see Mrs. Nessel at lunch today.

Important track update - this week during flex we will take the gr 8 and 9 that signed up to the pits at Coloniale.  Grade 7’s you will go next week - please make sure that you have signed up for FLEX this week.

100m tryouts are today at 12:26 - this finals are determined by placing so it is important all runners are on the field right away.

Today is the javelin finals for both boys and girls!  Meet out in the field at 12:26pm.  There is a list of finalists on the athletic board.  If you missed that event during class or would like to try-out, anyone is welcome.  Again...even if you are NOT on the list, you can still come at lunch.

The exhibits at the science fair last night were phenomenal.  Mr. Slade got some great feedback from parents, staff, and students.  Thanks to all those that put in the time and effort.  Would all available participants please come to the gym after announcements to help put away tables?

One final note from the Science Fair - the decision is in, as voted by you, and the teacher with the nastiest keyboard, and winner of a container of Lysol wipes, is Mr. Morin!

Badminton team pictures and banner signing has been postponed to tomorrow due to science olympics.  If you forgot your jersey…..bring it for tomorrow!

Girls javelin finals are today at lunch.  Please meet out in the field near the shed.  Check the athletic board to see if you have qualified.

Talent show auditions are next week. Anyone that signed up to audition is to come to the band room at 12:26 with your lunch. Auditions are closed and only those auditioning will be allowed to be in the room.

A reminder to ALL band students to have your instrument here for Monday’s performance in the gym. The gym set up will be first thing in the morning, so if you are able to come help move equipment to the gym before classes start, that would be appreciated. Grade 7 and Grade 8 band members, please also remember to ask your teachers for any work that you will be missing that morning (period 1 & 2)

Today is the JE Lapointe Science Fair!  Come by between 130 and 430 and see what our Einsteins have been working on!  Teachers, please check the sign up sheet to select a block to come by.
Grade nine students, thank you for getting your farewell pictures in!  Those who haven’t, please send to Mr. Slade ASAP.

Congratulations to Mr. Raymond and Mr. Mistol on defeating Micah and German is last nights epic badminton match during the open house.  The boys fought hard, but as the great Lou Holtz once said: “You’re only as good as your last game”.  With that being said, Mr. Mistol and Mr. Raymond are going out on top and retiring from the sport.

TRACK is finally starting! We will have girls javelin tryouts and boys 100m tryouts on the field at 12:26 tomorrow.  Please check the athletics board Thursday morning to see if you have qualified.

Next Wed during FLEX we have booked the sand pits at Coloniale.  If you are interested in trying out for either long jump or triple jump please see Mr Mistol or Mrs Dorash so your name can be added to the list.

Students volunteering for the home ec station and cookie making please be in the home ec room by 4:30 today. We will start as soon as everyone arrives.

Reminder to all students to meet us outside during lunch recess to throw a pie (for only $1) at teacher. Help us reach $2000 and give Grayson a new do. We are soooo close!

Attention all “Water Warriors” contenders:

Upon reviewing Friday’s results, the Water Walk Committee has concluded that  the most deserving recipient of the 2018 “Water Warriors” Title is M. Morin’s class.  They shall receive the honor to guard the water jug trophy this year. We acknowledge that 7D did have the fastest time, however M. Morin’s class arrived at the finish line with all of their village members, while 7D had a few missing members at their clocked in time.

Congratulations to M. Morin and his students on working as a team to complete the entire course united and without wheels!
All students: Don’t miss your chance to “Pie a teacher” this Wednesday during lunch recess. Bring a Loonie! All proceeds will go towards our water goal. Students, you are very close to meeting every single Water Challenge by reaching $2000! You supply the Loonies, we supply the pies!
