Tuesday, April 10, 2012 - Day 5

• We are still missing a number of pre-registration forms, students please check your backpacks and turn into the office.

• All badminton team members playing in Ardrossan this weekend must turn in their permission slips ASAP.  Also there will be practice today after school for all tournament players.

• Home ec students – The home ec room will be open everyday after school except Friday for students to complete projects. Please come in and finish your project as Module 3 has now ended.

• Good luck to the Elementary Track Team who will be competing in the Klondike Relays at the Butterdome after school.  Please meet in the gym at 3:30 with your running gear.

• All students participating in the Klondike Relays must attend practice today at noon in the gym.

• We will not be running the Ring Road today after school.  We will run Thursday after school.

• Congratulations to those students who performed in the Speech Arts Festival yesterday.  Outstanding performances!

• All choir members and all band members are reminded to hand in their Leduc Music Festival permission forms and payment to Mrs. Baron before their performances this week. If you have lost your form or don’t know where it is, please see Mrs. Baron for a new one.

• Choir members are reminded that your festival performance is tomorrow. Please wear black and white, and meet in the music room by 11:45. 

• Mrs. Baron needs to meet with all Leduc Music Festival solo/duet/trio and quartets today at lunch. Please bring your lunch, music and instrument to the band room at 12 noon.

Thursday, April 5, 2012 - Day 4

• Ms. Colquhoun would like to meet with all Grade 4 Speech Arts students in the Library at noon today.

• Pre-registration forms are due, please hand in to your teacher.

• Klondike Relay practice today at noon.  All participants must attend.

• Science Fair – Please hand in your Project Planning Form to Mme McCallion sometime today.  These must be handed in on Tuesday of next week at the latest. 

• All band members are reminded that their March Theory and Practice is due today. Please make sure it is signed and handed in to the blue box by then.

• There will be a very important choir practice for ALL members today at 12 noon. This is in preparation for the music festival next week, so all members must attend.

• All choir members and all band members are reminded to hand in their Leduc Music Festival permission forms and payment to Mrs. Baron before their performances next week. If you have lost your form or don’t know where it is, please see Mrs. Baron for a new one.

• Chess club and guitar club are cancelled after school today.
• Have a safe and wonderful Easter weekend. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 10th.

Wednesday, April 4, 2012 - Day 3

• All soapstone students are required to bring some homework to work on today in soapstone class.

Tuesday, April 3, 2012 - Day 2

• Ms. Colquhoun would like to meet with all Grade 7 & 8 Speech Arts students in the Library at noon today.

• Elementary Klondike Relays practice will be tomorrow at noon in the gym.

• Students who are interested in running the Ring Road, please come ready to run today after school.  We will meet in the front foyer.

• Badminton: girls practice at noon today, boys practice afterschool.

• Home Ec. room will be open today afterschool to finish up your projects.

• Pre-Registration forms are now due, if you haven't returned yours yet, please return to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible.

• Early dismissal Wednesday at 2:30 pm.

Monday, April 2, 2012 - Day 1

• Elementary Running Club practice today at noon in the gym. Today there will be try-outs for the seated ball throw.  Only those students interested in the seated ball throw for Klondike Relays should come.

• Students who are interested in running the Ring Road, we will be running tomorrow after school and every Tuesday.  See you in the front foyer tomorrow after school.

• Attention district boys basketball players!!! Tomorrow is our team picture, you must have your uniform.

• Badminton practice will be tomorrow at noon for girls, and after school for boys.

• All boys in the hockey academy must come to the gym for a brief meeting after these announcements.  Please bring your permission slips.

• All premier girls basketball players please meet in rm 103 at the break for an important meeting.

• Would all premier boys basketball players please return your jerseys as soon as possible?

• Last week for Gr. 7 foods and Gr. 8 module 3. The Home Ec. Room will be open for sewing after school tomorrow. Grade 7’s, don’t forget your pizza toppings.

• Pre-registrations forms are due, please return to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible.

Friday, March 23, 2012 - Day 5

• Reminder to any students interested in entering the Sci Fair, your forms and parent signatures are due after Spring Break.  Any questions see Mme Stewart or Mme McCallion.

• A reminder that the badminton team will be having drop in practices over spring break.   Monday, Wednesday and Friday (10am-noon).  Please make your best effort to attend.

• Happy Beach Day!

• Please take home all P.E. equipment – skates, etc today.

Thursday, March 22, 2012 Day 4

• Got some change burning a hole in your pocket?  Hold onto it for ONE more day!  There will be a small concession run out of Mrs. Larson’s room on Friday at lunch.  There will be chips, candy bags, sport drinks, and more.

• Attention grade 8 students.  As the year is coming to a close it is time for you to start thinking about your favourite memories of JE.  Over the next few weeks Graphic Design students will be asking you for a video response to this question as they are creating the Grade 8 Farewell Video.  Be fun, be creative, be honest, but please be appropriate.

• Friday is BEACH DAY!

• Please clear your old footwear out of the bootrooms.  There are many shoes being left there at the end of the day.

• Would the premier and district boys basketball team please return their jerseys by tomorrow.

• Elementary Running Club, please meet in the gym at noon for a practice.  This practice is for all students who will be participating in the Klondike Relays. 

• Congratulations to the Jazz band for participating in the Celebration of Music at the McLab theatre in Leduc last night.
