Thursday, December 15, 2011 - Day 4

  • To all students who loved doing the Spelling Bee in class – come on out to the J. E. Lapointe, 5th annual School Bee.  The bee will take place on Monday, at 3:30pm.  The winner of this bee will go on to represent J. E. Lapointe in the next round of the Scripps Spelling Competition.  Please see Ms. Chromiak if you have any questions.

  • Attention all grade 4 and 5 students who have registered for Speech Arts. Please meet Ms. Colquhoun in Room 117 today at 12 noon to begin choosing your poem. If you have already chosen your poem with Ms. Colquhoun and Mrs. Marshall, you do not need to come today.

  • The band and choir concert is tonight at 7 pm. Our Grade 6 Band, Jr. High Band, Day 2 Choir and Day 4 Choir are all performing.

    Band members are asked to be at the school by 6 pm.
    Choir members can arrive at 6:30pm.
    Please wear any combination of black, white, red or green…

    Band 6, please use the Tech Ed room for warm-up.
    Band 7/8, please use the music room for warm-up.
    Choir members can go to the risers in the gym when they arrive.

  • Nisku Inn permission forms are due. Please make sure you give yours to Mrs. Baron before you leave school today.

  •  ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS: There will be a combined choir practice tomorrow at noon to prepare for the Nisku Inn performance next week. If you do not come to the practice, you will not be allowed to go next week, as this will be our only practice before the performance.

  • CANDYGRAMS – The grade 6D students will be hosting a Candygram sale to raise money for the Children’s Stollery Foundation.  Here’s your chance to give to your friends.  Come and buy candy canes for yourself or for your friends today and Friday at noon in the front lobby.  Candy canes will cost $0.50 each.  They will be delivered next Tuesday at lunch.  Please ask your homeroom teachers for your candygram  card to fill out before coming to the front lobby.
