District basketball practice for boys and girls @ 7:15am tomorrow morning.
 
All Jr. High boys PE will be at the arena today.

Speech arts – Mrs. Colquhoun has generously offered to spend some extra time with interested students to practice their poems. She is available this Tuesday, March 5th and Thursday, March 7th from 12:10 to 12:35 in Mme Marshall’s classroom (Rm 116). If you are interested, please have your teacher email Mme Marshall by the end of the day today. There is only space for 4 students for each of these sessions and they will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.
Speech arts – expected dates are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday April 8, 9 and 10th. Confirmation should be received shortly.
Today is Milk Monday. Teachers, please remember to send a runner to get your homeroom bin. The runner who picks up the milk, is also asked to drop off the milk in your class, then return the yellow bin immediately. The milk cartons now go in your green classroom bin, not the yellow, so please put your rinsed out milk carton in the classroom green bin.
 
If you would like to buy a white or chocolate milk, there will be some extras for sale by the Home Ec. Room
Band and choir members are reminded of the following music room practices this week;
Today– Open Band practice and Leduc Music Festival practice for those who signed up
Tomorrow– Combined choir practice for all members
Wednesday – Open Band practice
Thursday – Whistler Band practice
Friday – Jazz Band
ATTENTION Whistler Band members: Your practice that was planned for this Wednesday has been changed to Thursday. You are asked to bring their lunch to the music room this Thursday, as you are going to play, then eat after the practice. Please also write this in your agenda and on your classroom board, so you remember to come for this very important practice.
Grade 6, 7 & 8 band members are reminded to hand in their February practice minutes by Wednesday please. This is important as report card marks are being finalized this week.
Outdoor Ed. Students that have not handed in their permission forms for your field trip this week are asked to please do so today
Please keep an eye out on the TV screens this week to learn more about countries throughout the world having French as their official language. This project was put together by the FSL 8 class.
La semaine de la francophonie
15 panels depicting francophone history in Alberta line two hallways and the main entrance of our school. Teachers can take their students through the exhibition beginning in the office hallway. Each panel has an English and a French version. Students, please be careful this week when travelling in the hallways to avoid damaging these panels.
The grade 5/6 girls floor hockey team played at a tournament in Leduc on Saturday.  They came out of their pool undefeated.  The girls played hard, but were put out in the playoffs.  Mrs. Duru would like to see the 5/6 girls floor hockey team in room 111 at 10:40.
Chess Club after school today in the library. 3:30 to 4:30
Grade 5/6 and Grade 4 boys floor hockey sign up sheet is on the athletic board.  Sign up today is you are interested in playing.  Try-outs begin tomorrow!
