November 22- Day 4

We acknowledge that our school is on treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Metis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux.  We acknowledge all the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
Grade 7 girls interested in playing basketball this year ` we will have a short tryout and information session today at lunch hour in the gym.  If you have questions, please see Mr. Slade.

Grade 8-9 boys basketball try-outs are today after school until 4:30pm.  This is for anyone interested in making the Senior or Junior basketball team.

8C please go to your Option B class today. Your Health presentation has been rescheduled for Friday during your regular Block 1 Health class

Jr Boys volleyball lunch in Mme Goudreau’s room

FLEX sign up: grade 7’s - block 1 or 2, grade 8 block 3 or 4.  Grade 9 lunch or later.

A band practice FLEX session is being offered next week. Grade 7, Grade 8 or Grade 9 band students that would like get in some practice are welcome to sign up. It will be happening during block 4.

Just a reminder, when you come to the gym for class please do not bring your books or backpacks with you. Please leave those in your hallway locker. 

Our annual JEL Christmas tradition had begun.  The Christmas Elves Competition has classes earn points for food, clothing, and toy donations for those in need this Christmas.  Mme Stewart is the defending, defending, defending champion, so talk to your teacher and see how your class can knock her off and win a huge DQ ice cream cake.

A variety of Rafikis will be on sale Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch by the gym. For only $10, you can help provide jobs, education, food, water and shelter to people without these fundamental needs. They make perfect stocking suffers and Secret Santa gifts.
