November 23- Day 5

We acknowledge that our school is on treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Metis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux.  We acknowledge all the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
We are only a day in to our Christmas Elves competition and Mr. Slade’s class had already raised 150 points!  Looks like the rest of you do not stand a chance.

Our Toonies for Taylor campaign has already raised more than $500, but we definitely want to help more. Taylor’s parents are spending over $20 a day just to park at the hospital and see Taylor, not to mention the cost of basic needs like meals while at the hospital. Your donations are important because Taylor's parents use them to get through their day and stay with Taylor, giving him the support he needs. If you want to make a donation there’s a jar in the office where they are being collected, every little bit helps. (Mason)
Rafikis will be on sale today at lunch by the gym! For only $10, you will help provide jobs, education, food, water and shelter to people without these fundamental needs.  (Mason)

Come to the gym at lunch to watch the Teachers crush the Sr Volleyball teams!
Service 9 students: after block 2, skip your break and come immediately to Mrs. DeBoer’s class. We are going to the daycare today.
